W.C. Orrick, 67, died Wednesday, March 13, 2014 at his residence.

He was born November 16, 1946 in Franklin County. He was an LPN at the Red Bay Hospital for 32 years and was a member of Red Bay Freewill Baptist Church. He loved to travel and also loved Alabama football.

Services were on Saturday, March 15, at Red Bay Freewill Baptist Church with Bro. Steve Lindsay officiating. Burial was in Red Bay City Cemetery.

Survivors are his wife of 48½ years, Joyce Orrick, of Red Bay.; two daughters, Michelle Ray and husband, Stephen, of Red Bay, and Ginger Esslinger and husband, Jason, of Northport; foster son, Jesse Lovett, of Columbia, Tenn.; two grandchildren, Braden Ray and Addison Esslinger; one foster grandson, Ethan Lovett; two sisters, Kay Schatz, of Bartow, Fla., and Peggy Hubbard, of Red Bay; and one brother, Gordon Orrick, of Winter Haven, Fla.

He was preceded in death by his parents, John Oscar Orrick and Charlsie Renfrow Orrick; and a sister, Jean Bates.

Pallbearers were Jeff Hubbard, Terry Bates, Fred Harden, Jimmy Tate, Jerome Hubbard and Johnny Cleveland. Honorary pallbearers will be Harold Strickland and Jimmy McKinney.

Visitation was on Saturday, March 15, at Red Bay Freewill Baptist Church.
