Thurman C. Hill, Sr., 81, of Littleville, passed away Sunday, December 22, 2013, after a lengthy illness.

Mr. Hill was a native of Franklin County, but had lived in Colbert County for over 40 years. He served in the Navy, was a member of Littleville Masonic Lodge #881 and a retired truck driver.

Funeral services will be Tuesday, December 24, 2013, at 11 a.m. at Pinkard Funeral Home in Russellville with Ricky Corbel officiating. Burial will be in Colbert Memorial Gardens. Visitation was held on Monday at the funeral home.

Survivors include his children, Sheila Woodruff and Sabrina Tippett, both of Littleville; Thurman C. (Butch) Hill, Jr., of Muscle Shoals; sister, Jo Evelyn Hill, of New Jersey; six grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; two great-great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Wildar R. Hill; and parents, Tom and Lora Hill.
