Sadie V. Burden Pate passed away on Tuesday, Dec. 10, 2013. She was born Oct. 1, 1931, in Loosier Community. She ran away and got married at 16, but the marriage lasted for 54 years until she was widowed in 2002.

Mrs. Pate was preceded in death by her parents, John Henry and Sarah Canup Burden; four brothers and one sister; and her son, Johnny Pate.

She is survived by Her daughters Nancy Carnahan, and husband, Mike, Judy Cobb and husband, Darryl, Janice West and husband, Larry, Geneva Graham who she loved as a daughter, and daughter-in-law Cheryl Pate; seven grandchildren, David Frame, Stephanie Herzog, Andy Bailey, Mike and Joey Norton, John and Josh Pate; 12 great grandchildren; and numerous relatives and friends.

The visitation was Thursday Dec. 12, 2013 at Lawrence Funeral Home. The Funeral Service was Thursday, Dec 12, 2013 following visitation in the Lawrence Funeral Home Chapel. Burial was in Providence Cemetery.
