Gresham Lane of Mt. Hope, passed away, Dec. 16, 2013, at Helen Keller Hospital at the age of 78.  He was born in Russellville, on March 8, 1935 to John T. and Effie Seay Lane.  He was a retired plumber and pipefitter for 45 years.  He was a member of Macedonia Baptist Church.

Gresham was preceded in death by his parents, eight brothers, six sisters and grandson, Matthew Lee.

He is survived by his children Cindy Lee and husband, Jimmy of Pace, Fla., Cheryl Dale and husband, Mike, of Hattisburg, Miss, Brad Lane and wife, Kim of Decatur, Renee’ Jenkins and husband, Willie, of Cleveland, Tenn., and Philip Lane and wife, Wendy, of Mt. Hope; his grandsons, who were his greatest joy, JR

Lee of Pace, Fla,, Landon, Linden and Logan Dale of Hattisburg, Miss, Casey and Tanner Lane of Decatur, Bre and Bailey Vandiver of Leighton; his sister, Margurite Nicholson of Russellville, and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services were on Thursday, Dec. 19, 2013, Pinkard Funeral Home Chapel, Russellville, with visitation Wednesday night.  Brother Eddie Wix officiated.  Burial was in Mt. Pleasant Methodist Church Cemetery, Russellville.

Pallbearers were Doug Nicholson, Michael Lane, Mitch Lane, Justin Vandiver, Casey Lane, Tanner Lane and Hite Lane.
