Johnny Davis, 83, died Monday, Dec. 2, 2013 at Helen Keller Hospital. He was born July 10, 1930. He was a veteran of the US Army and a member of the Church of God of Prophecy.

Services were Saturday, Dec. 7, at Deaton Funeral Home Chapel, Red Bay, with Rev. Harvey Mitchell and Rev. Gerome Key officiating. Burial was in Mt. Zion Cemetery, Golden, Miss.

Survivors are his brother-in-law, Rev. Harvey Mitchell and wife, Katie; Sister-in-law, Dorothy Humphries; dedicated niece, Lucille Humphries; loving nieces, Cynthia Basham and husband, Dewayne, and Lori Sentell and husband, Rev. Rick; nephews, Joe Mitchell and wife, Janice, Travis Mitchell and wife, Mandy, Larry Mitchell, Ricky Humphries and wife, Lisa, and Joe Joe Mitchell.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Gertha Mitchell Davis.

Pallbearers were Joe Mitchell, Travis Mitchell, Jonathan Basham and Larry Mitchell.

Visitation was Saturday, Dec. 7, at Deaton Funeral Home, Red Bay.
