David “Benny” Martin

David “Benny” Martin, age 56, Spruce Pine, passed away on Friday, Nov. 29, 2013 at Huntsville Hospital of a devastating stroke.

The visitation was Saturday, Nov. 30, 2013 at Akins Funeral Home prior to the funeral in the chapel with Bro. Darryl Whitehead. Interment was at Liberty Hill Cemetery.

He was preceded in death by grandmother, Ruby Underwood; aunts, Ann Raike, Frances Allen, Diane Ables; uncle, Wayne Guthrie.

He is survived by his mother, Bertha Pentagraph; wife, Clarissa martin; children, Candi Cooper and husband, Chris, Evan Curtis and wife, Jennifer; grandchildren, Scarlett Winstead, Zadie Cooper, Logan cooper.
