James Walter Goines, 97, of Russellville, Alabama, passed away Sunday, November 10, 2013, at his residence.
Mr. Goines was a lifelong resident of Franklin County and a retired carpenter. He was a WWII veteran of the U.S. Army.
The funeral service will be Wednesday, November 13, 2013, at 2 p.m., at Pinkard Funeral Home Chapel, Russellville, with burial in Goines Cemetery. Officiating will be Mike Ramirez. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Wednesday from 12-2 p.m.
Survivors include children, J.W. Goines, of Michigan; Kathy Hall, of Russellville; and Larry Goines, of Russellville; 13 grandchildren; 29 great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, George W. and Luda P. Goines; wife, Jimmie Lou Goines; and a son, Homer Ray Goines.
