Gary O. Potter, 57, Spruce Pine, passed away Saturday, Oct. 19, 2013, at Russellville Hospital.

Funeral services were Sunday, Oct. 20, 2013, at Akins Funeral Home, Russellville, prior to the  funeral service in the funeral home chapel with Bro. Merrell Potter officiating. Interment was in East Franklin Cemetery.

Pallbearers were Joey Quillen, Jonathon Baker, Jason Baker, Cory Potter, Jeremy Potter, Eric Ergle.

He was preceded in death by his father, Teddie Potter; granddaughter, Haley Richardson.

He is survived by his wife, Mary Potter; daughters, April Harvey and Rowland Byrd, Yolanda Richardson and Duane Oxendine, Amanda Potter; mother, Jean Potter; siblings, Steve and Susan Potter, Gregg and Angela Potter, Rhonda and Charles Baker, Wendy and David Ergle; grandchildren, Allison, Laura and Grace Harvey, Collin and Breanna Richardson, Lexie, Jordon and Harley Cothrum; a host of nieces and nephews.

Family and friends are encouraged to wear their Alabama Crimson Tide attire for the service.
