William C. “W.C.” Lindley

William C. “W.C.” Lindley, 70, died Wednesday, Sept. 25, 2013, at Marion Regional Rehab and Longterm Care, Hamilton.

He was born Sept. 29, 1942, in Red Bay and was an auto mechanic. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army 1964-1966 serving in Germany. He attended Zion Schools in Zion, Ill., and was a long time resident.

Services were Saturday, Sept. 28, 2013, at Deaton Funeral Home Chapel, Red Bay, with Bro. Scott Tharp officiating. Burial was in Hillcrest Memorial Gardens, Red Bay.

Survivors are two daughters, Regina Markham, Red Bay, and Mechelle Carpenter, Russellville; three grandchildren, Nichole Lancaster and Daniel Lancaster, both of Russellville, and Josh Markham, Florence; one great-granddaughter, Madison Brylee Lancaster, Florence; one great-grandson, Grant Oneal Markham; two sisters, Helen Roark, Hodges, and Linda Collins, Holley Springs; one brother, Dexter Lindley, Riverside, and a host of nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, William F. and Bertha Jones Lindley, three brothers, Billy Joe Lindley, Johnny Paul Lindley and Glen Royce Lindley and one sister, Deloris Irby.

Pallbearers were his nephews.
