PCHS Alumni Day set for Aug. 4

All those who have attended Phil Campbell High School are invited to attend the annual Alumni Day this Sunday, Aug. 4, in the PCHS cafeteria.

PCHS Alumni Association president A.C. Cleveland, a 1957 PCHS graduate, said the event would start with a time of fellowship at 10:30 a.m. followed by lunch and a program at 12 p.m.

Cleveland said he was hoping for a good turnout because this year’s event will be something his fellow alumni would not want to miss.

“Sen. Roger Bedford, Rep. Johnny Mack Morrow, Superintendent Gary Williams and Mayor Steve Bell are all expected to be in attendance to give us an update on the progress of the new school, show us drawings of what the school will look like, and give us other news on things that are going on in the town,” Cleveland said.

“Phil Campbell is a tight-knit community and we always have a great time at our annual Alumni Day, but this year, with so many changes happening in our town, it will be a great opportunity to find out what’s going on while getting to catch up with old friends and classmates.”

Anyone who has questions about the Phil Campbell Alumni Day can contact Cleveland at 205-487-9271.
