Theodore Kermit Moreland, 82, Russellville, passed away Saturday, Sept. 8, 2012, at Russellville Hospital.

Mr. Moreland was a lifelong native of Franklin County and a member of North Highlands Church of Christ.  He was a retired contractor and the former owner of Moreland Lumber and Building Supply. He was a veteran of the United States Navy. Theo was an avid golfer and sportsman and was an active member of his church.

A graveside service was held at Franklin Memory Gardens on Sunday, Sept. 9, 2012, with Keith Barnett officiating.

Survivors include wife, Margaret Lou Moreland; son, Mark Moreland and wife, Betty, Cherokee, N.C.; daughter, Susan Rasnic and husband, Jerry, Franklin, Tenn.; grandchildren, Jonathan and Blair Vick.

Honorary pallbearers will be elders and deacons of North Highlands Church of Christ.

He was preceded in death by his parents, T.K. and  Sarah Grace Moreland.
