Roland Blake Fisher, 62, Russellville, passed away Tuesday, June 5, 2012, at Helen Keller Hospital.
He was a lifelong resident of Franklin County and member of Southside Baptist Church. He was a member of the Fraternal Order of Police, Lodge #5. He was a retired deputy from the Colbert County Sheriff’s Department and from TVA Police where he served for 29 years. He served in Vietnam and the Alabama National Guard and retired as a medic.
Funeral services were Friday, June 8, 2012, at Pinkard Funeral Home with Bro. Michael Stancil and Bro. Daniel Welborn officiating. Burial was in Franklin Memory Gardens.
Survivors include his daughter, Cecilee Fisher; mother, Clarice Christine Perry; granddaughter, Brookelynn Fisher; sisters, Carolyn Stanfield and Alice Crum, all of Russellville; several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Frances Hill Fisher; father, Carlton Owen Fisher.
