Elois Stidham Overton, 89, died Wednesday, April 4, 2012, at North Mississippi Medical Center, Tupelo, Miss.

She was a native of Alabama and a homemaker. She was a member of First Baptist Church, Red Bay.

Funeral services were Tuesday, April 10, 2012, at Deaton Funeral Home Chapel, Red Bay, with Bro. Larry Hill officiating. Burial was in Lindsey Cemetery, Hackleburg.

Survivors are one daughter, Sherrie Tackett, Red Bay; one son, Kent Overton and wife, Laura, of Michigan; six grandchildren, Ryan Tackett and wife, Desirae Ivy, Jamie Overton and wife, Stephanie, Kent Overton and wife, Melissa, Rebecca Payne, Tammie Kaminski and husband, Lee, and Christie Smith and husband, John; 16 great-grandchildren and a host of nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Ardie Overton; her parents, Marvin and Callie Lawler Stidham; a son, Jerry L. Overton and a granddaughter, Darcie Dahoud.

Pallbearers were grandsons and great-grandsons.
