Vearna Lee “Bonnie” Watson

Vearna Lee “Bonnie” Watson, 55, died Tuesday, Jan. 31, 2012, at her residence. She was a native of Alabama and was an inspector at Gold Kist for 10 years. She was a member of Vina First Baptist Church.

Funeral services were Thursday, Feb. 2, 2012, at Vina First Baptist Church with Bro. Edwin Brewer and Bro. W.D. Humphres officiating. Burial was in Ebenezer Cemetery, Vina.

She is survived by her husband of  six years, Homer Lee Watson, of Vina; one daughter,  Vanessa Moomaw and husband, Robert, of Vina; one grandson, Tristan Shane Moomaw, of Vina; her father, James Flournoy; one step-son, Steven Watson and wife, Teresa; one step-daughter, Stephanie Credille and husband, Ronnie;  two step-grandsons, Stacy Lee Credille and Cody Lee Watson; one step-granddaughter, Courtney Diann Watson; seven sisters, Louise Hamm, Carol Pharr and Alice Emerson, all of Red Bay, Teresa Guntharp and Kay West, both of Fulton, Miss.; Shirley Turner, Tremont, Miss., and Katherine Woods, Belmont, Miss.;  and three brothers, Frankie Flournoy and Tim Flournoy, Pontotoc, Miss. and Micheal Flournoy, Houlka, Miss.

She was preceded in death by her first husband, Eartis Ray Burks, her mother, Myrlene Flournoy, one brother, Eddie Flournoy and two sisters, Jean Collier and Joyce Harrison.

Pallbearers were Ronnie Credille, Justin Guntharp, Steven Watson, Bobby Whitaker, Brian Hamm and Jeff Burks.
