Head Start programs offer open recruitment

Both the Russellville and Tharptown Head Start programs are currently accepting applications for open recruitment for children ages three and four. 

A child must have turned three by September 1 to be eligible to apply.

To apply for this federal program, a person must provide an Alabama blue slip, a copy of the child’s birth certificate, social security numbers for each member of the household, verification of income for 2010 and a copy of a Medicaid or other insurance card.

All children are welcome to apply. Special needs children or children with a disability will be made a priority.
