Bobcats’ homecoming spoiled by Hatton 35-7
PHIL CAMPBELL — Trailing 14-0 in the third quarter Phil Campbell took its first possession of the second half to the end zone, but Hatton would have no more of the rally, beating the Bobcats 35-7.
It was a tough homecoming for Phil Campbell, which needed a victory to boost its fading playoff chances. Now the Bobcats are 0-3 in region play and will need to win all of their remaining region games to have a shot at clinching a playoff spot.
Tyson Sumerel hit Craig Saint for a 20-yard touchdown for Phil Campbell’s only score of the game.
The Bobcats struggled on offense, amassing 42 rushing yards on 23 carries and 143 passing yards.
