RPD makes theft arrest
After an extensive investigation, officers with the Russellville Police Department arrested a local man last Monday who was involved in a string of recent burglaries.
Sean Marshall Tidwell, 21, 301 West Lawrence St., Russellville, was arrested and charged with receiving stolen property, Police Chief Christ Hargett said.
According to Hargett, officers were investigating a string of burglaries that occurred over a one week time span and information led them to Tidwell.
When officers made contact, they discovered Tidwell was in possession of several items stolen during three different burglaries including two bags of assorted jewelry, two flat screen TVs, a microwave, a DVD player and two window air conditioning units.
All the stolen items were recovered and Tidwell was taken into custody. He was later released from the Franklin County Jail on a $2,500 bond.
