William Jimmy Strawbridge was born May 21, 1943 and passed away at his home in Red Bay, Ala. on May 22, 2011 at the age of 68.  He was a mechanic and had worked in the logging industry.

Funeral services were held Thursday, May 26, 2011 at Deaton Funeral Home Chapel, Red Bay, Ala. with Bro. Mitchell Connell officiating.  Burial was in Mt. Zion Cemetery, Golden, Miss.  

He is survived by daughter, Cynthia Bentley, of Hoover, Ala.; three granddaughters, Brandi Edwards and husband, Esra, of Birmingham, Ala. and Madison Bentley and Katelyn Bentley, both of Hoover, Ala.; one grandson, Blake Smith, of Anniston, Ala.; sisters, Carolyn Mason and husband, Alben, of Golden, Miss., Joyce Senters and husband, Ray, of Fulton, Miss. and Sandra Armstrong and husband, Tony, of Red Bay, Ala.; brothers, Billy Stidham and wife, Nancy, of Golden, Miss., Ricky Stidham and wife, Alisa, of Hodges, Ala. and Donald Stidham Foster and his wife,  Donnis, of Monticello, Miss.

He was preceded in death by his father, Virgil Strawbridge, his mother, Opal Strawbridge Stidham, his step-father, Grady Stidham and his former wife, Sue Strawbridge.

Pallbearers were Johnny Mason, Dean Mason, Gene Mason, Anthony Stidham, Eric Stidham, Kevin Stidham, Chris Senters and Blake Smith.
