Gussie W. McCarley, 88, of Spruce Pine, Ala., went to be with the Lord, on Tuesday, April 12, 2011 at Helen Keller Hospital.
She was a lifelong resident of Franklin County and member of Calvary Baptist Church.
Funeral services were Friday, April 15, 2011 at Pinkard Funeral Home, Russellville with Ralton McCarley, Joe Lenox, Wade Wallace and Jerome Sherrill officiating. Burial was in Franklin Memory Gardens.
She is survived by her daughter, Judy Vandiver and husband, G.W.; sisters, Ruby McCarley, Louise Warhurst; brothers, Burl Pounders, Marce Pounders, Julian Pounders, Troy Pounders; granddaughters, Shelia (Tim Baker) Cornelison, Tracy Vandiver; great-grandson, Justin Cornelison; several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by, husband, L. M. “Marshall” McCarley; parents, Wayman and Pearl Pounders.
