George Dwight Woodard, 78, of Bear Creek, Ala. passed away Saturday, March 12, 2011 at Princeton Baptist Medical Center. He was a member of Bear Creek Methodist Church, retired from the Fanklin Co. Board of Education having taught school for 30 years. Funeral services were held Tuesday March 15, 2011 at Pinkard Funeral Home, Haleyville with Martha Hauer and Dr. Belon Friday officiating.  Burial was at Bear Creek Cemetery. Mr. Woodard is survived by his wife, Ree Joyce Friday Woodard; sister, Willodean Huggins; grandchildren, Katie Stidham and Josh Woodard. He is preceded in death by his parents, Jesse and Lillian Woodard; and son, Greg Woodard.

Flowers are welcomed or memorials may be made to Bear Creek Methodist Church.
