Red Bay is proactive in fight against bath salts

The battle police forces across the nation fight against illegal drugs seems like a losing effort at times, but the Red Bay Police Department has been on the front edge of the fight to keep a new drug called bath salts off the streets of Franklin County.

The department has made some of the first arrests linked to the drug in the state of Alabama in an effort to curb both the sale and use of the drug before it gets out of hand.

Hopefully these preventative actions will be successful and local law enforcement agencies can turn their focus to other matters.
