Schools closed Friday; re-open next week

The Russellville city and Franklin County schools will be closed Friday due to some patchy ice remaining on county roads. The roads should thaw over the weekend allowing classes to resume next week. Monday, Jan. 17 is Martin Luther King, Jr., Day, which is a national holiday, so schools will resume on Tuesday, Jan. 18.
