Martha Pinkard McMurry, 74, of Russellville, Ala., passed away Sunday, Dec. 5, 2010 at her residence.

She was a lifelong resident of Franklin County and member of Village Baptist Church in Florence.

Funeral services were held Tuesday, Dec. 7, 2010 at Pinkard Funeral Home in Russellville with Larry Smart and Jeff Davis officiating.  Burial was in Shady Grove Cemetery in Phil Campbell. 

She is survived by her husband, Dolan E. McMurry, of Russellville; daughters, Kathie Taylor and husband, Jimmy, Buffalo, of Wyoming, Karen Rice, of Russellville; stepdaughter, Katherine Wallace, of Florence; step-son, Tim McMurry, of Trinity, Ala.; sister, Mary Jo Gorham, of California; grandchildren, Beth Taylor, Justin Taylor, Paxton Rice, Kaysi Rice; several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by parents, James and Emma Pinkard; three sisters; three brothers.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to American Cancer Society.
