Local libraries important resources for community
For years, libraries were places where people went to check out books.
Sorting through the card catalog and finding that perfect little story you wanted to read or looking for helpful resources for school projects were always found in the public or school library.
In today’s world they offer so much more.
They are still a source for periodicals and books of all kinds, but now they provide computer sources and job training as well.
Libraries are a wonderful place for children looking to learn, for grandparents who want to find a fun way to spend time with their grandchildren and even for adults who might be looking for a job.
With so many different resources available today, libraries are constantly changing and adding to keep up and our local libraries have done just that.
So it is more important now than ever that we take advantage of these facilities. There are countless reasons to support our local libraries and we encourage each of you to visit yours soon.
