Tuesday is an important day for Franklin County’s future
When local voters head to the poll Tuesday, they will be able to vote for candidates and policies that will affect the future of the county for years to come.
Not only will voters be choosing the final candidates for federal, state and local offices, they will also be asked to decide a state-wide amendment on propane, a local amendment about the use of treated human waste as a fertilizer and a local sales tax increase.
While this election will not get nearly as much attention as the general election in November, it is quite possibly more important — that is why voters need to turn out in high numbers.
Learn about the candidates and learn about the issues. Then vote for what you feel is best for the future of Franklin County.
Take pride in the community and do what you can to promote its success. Part of being a responsible citizen is though active participation in civic issues.
There is no bigger civic duty than voting.
