Grant for Pc Industrial Park needed for area growth

The grant secured to provide funds for the installation of a sewer system in the Phil Campbell Industrial Park is a much-needed boost to help bring jobs to Franklin County.

Several prospective industries liked the park’s access to transportation, but the lack of a sewer system prevented them from locating here.

Now that problem can be fixed and the county will be better off as new jobs are created.

While politicians in Washington, D.C. say the recession is over, area citizens are still feeling the pinch of the poor economy. The latest statistics show Franklin County had an unemployment rate of 12 percent in March.

The quickest way to recover in a tough economy is through the creation of jobs. This grant will help the county attract new industry and the jobs that come along with it.

This grant is a victory for Franklin County.
