Kenneth L. Britnell, 56, of Mt. Hope passed away Tuesday, April 27, 2010, at Lourdes Hospital in West Paducah, Ky.

Mr. Britnell was a native of Lawrence County and a 1972 graduate of Mt. Hope High School.  He was employed by Gumbk Construction.

Funeral service will be Saturday, May 1, at 1 p.m. at Pinkard Funeral Home Chapel, Russellville, with Ricky Watt officiating.  Burial will be in Mt. Hope Cemetery. Visitation will be Saturday, from 11 a.m. until 1 p.m. at the funeral home.

Mr. Britnell is survived by his wife, Paula Horton Britnell, Mt. Hope; mother, Bertha P. Britnell, Mt. Hope; son, John Kenley Britnell, Mt. Hope; daughter, Jessica Latham and husband, Mark, Russellville; brother, Joe Britnell and wife Martha; Decatur; sisters, Avoyn Sims and husband, James Neal, Columbus, S.C., Linda Cross and husband, Laken, Pell City, Ala., Cathy Daniel and husband, Johnny, Russellville; one grandchild, Bailey Latham; several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his father, Willie Clyde Britnell.
