Lady Tigers face Mars Hill in semis

The Red Bay girls begin their quest to return to the Northwest Region Tournament Thursday night when they take on Mars Hill during the semifinals of the Class 2A, Area 14 Tournament.
The Lady Tigers split the season series with Mars Hill. Red Bay lost 47-40 early in the season, but rebounded with 44-29 victory a few weeks ago.
It will be a tough test for Red Bay, which has had a less than stellar year as it had to adjust to a youthful roster.
The team has struggled in several games, but has managed to pull out victories.
This will be the game with the most pressure the squad has played all season. With a win, the Lady Tigers will advance to the sub-regional round of the state playoffs – a place with which Red Bay has become familiar over the years.
A loss would end the Lady Tigers' season.
The game begins at 7:30 p.m. at Hatton High School.
