Jerry Ray Kimbrell

Jerry Ray Kimbrell, 55, of Muscle Shoals, passed away Wednesday, Jan. 6, 2010 at Helen Keller Hospital.
Funeral services were held Tuesday, Jan. 12, 2010 at Spry Memorial Chapel with Bro. Michael Flaherty officiating. Interment was in Butler Cemetery.
He was preceded in death by his sister, Sonia Kay Kimbrell; and brother, Ricky Lee Kimbrell.
He is survived by his mother, Margie Frazier; father, J.C. Kimbrell; sisters, Betty Kimbrell, Teresa Green and Angela Gentry; brothers, James Kimbrell and Tony Kimbrell; best friend, Terry Pate; and numerous nieces and nephews.
He was a loving son, brother and uncle.
Tommy Price McGee, Sr.

Tommy Price McGee, Sr., 71, of Phil Campbell passed away on Friday, Jan. 8, 2010 at ECM Hospital.
Funeral services were held Monday, Jan. 11, 2010 at Akins Funeral Home. Interment was in Oak Grove Cemetery.
He was preceded in death by his parents, William Horace McGee and Gwendolyn Latham McGee; siblings, John McGee, James McGee, Billy McGee, Jimmy Dee McGee, Carolyn McGee, Jerry McGee and Brenda McGee.
He is survived by his children, Robin "Binky" Louise Rollins, Tommy Price McGee, Jr. and James William McGee; five grandchildren; one great-grandchild; and several nieces and nephews.

Jerry Monroe Whitman, 39, of Haleyville, formerly of Phil Campbell passed away on Wednesday, Jan. 6, 2010 at Helen Keller Hospital.
Funeral services were held Tuesday, Jan. 12, 2010 at Beach Grove Baptist Church in Haleyville with Bro. Gregg Washington officiating. Interment was in New Prospect Cemetery in the Needmore community. Akins Funeral Home assisted the family.
He was preceded in death by his sons, James Whitman and Johnny Whitman; mother, Terri Juanita Bonds Whitman; brother, Johnny Whitman; grandparents, Arthur and Vartilee Whitman, Sr. and Riley and Gladys Bonds.
He is survived by his wife, Melanie McLemore Whitman; daughters, Courtney Fisher and Kaylee Whitman; sons, Cody Fisher and Blake Whitman; father, James Arthur Whitman, Jr.; sister, Jimmie Leigh Owen; brother, Jeff Whitman; and several nieces and nephews.
Jimmy Wayne Hopson

Jimmy Wayne Hopson, 63, passed away on Saturday, Jan. 9, 2010 at Helen Keller Hospital.
Funeral services were held Tuesday, Jan. 12, 2010 at Spry Memorial Chapel with Bro. Jerome Sherrill and Bro. John Ennis, Sr. officiating. Interment was at Bethel Cemetery.
He was preceded in death by his father, James Bates; and grandparents, Marion and Myrtle Bradley.
He is survived by his mother, Christine Bates; daughter, Kayla Hanback and husband, David; step-son, Daniel Donaldson and wife, Jessica; grandson, Brody Ray Donaldson; aunts and uncles.
The pallbearers were Johnny Bradley, Tommy Risner, David Hanback, Wayne West, John Ennis, Sr., John Ennis, Jr., Mark Paulino, and Lester Lawson.
The family would like to extend a special thanks to the 4th floor nurses of Helen Keller Hospital and Dr. Patel's office for their love and care.
He was a truck driver with JNJ Express and a member of First Baptist Church of Phil Campbell.
Audrey Vinson

Audrey Vinson, 89, of Golden, Miss. passed away Saturday, Jan. 9, 2010 at her residence. She was born Dec. 15, 1920 in Alabama to Millard and Pearl Gray Swindle. She was employed at Blue Bell and was a member of Poplar Springs Baptist Church.
Funeral services were held Tuesday, Jan. 12, 2010 at Poplar Springs Baptist Church with Bro. Gene Cooley officiating. Burial was at Mt. Zion Cemetery. Deaton Funeral Home assisted the family.
She is survived by six children, Charles Vinson and wife, Myrtle, Maggie Pearl Elrod and husband, Bobby, Neal Vinson and wife, Brenda, Harold Vinson and wife, Jeannie, Garry Vinson and wife, Raymonda, Larry Vinson and wife, Dianna, all of Golden, Miss.; brother, Lee Swindle; half-brothers, Junior Swindle and Jackie Swindle; half-sisters, Eloise Snowden and Inez Wilson; thirteen grandchildren, Trisha Knight, Donna Chapman, David Spencer, Patty Brown, Steve Elrod, Brian Elrod, Donald Vinson, Ronald Vinson, Elizabeth Taylor, Harold Vinson, Jr. Charlotte Kuykendall, James Vinson and April Vinson; nineteen great-grandchildren, Michelle Spencer, Ariyana Spencer, Abraham Spencer, Glenn Vinson, Ricky Vinson, Stephen Gardner, Latasha Armstrong, Sara Beth Elrod, Nathan Elrod, Chase Elrod, Zachary Elrod, Kacidy Vinson, Gracie Kuykendall, Dakota Vinson, Ayden Vinson, Michael Chapman, David Chapman, Joshua Chapman and Catherine Chapman; three great-great-grandchildren, Madison Armstrong, Macey Armstrong and Mattox Armstrong.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Idus Gay Vinson; and son, Jimmy Louis Vinson.
Pallbearers were Harold Vinson, Jr., James Vinson, Ricky Vinson, Glenn Vinson, Steve Elrod and Brian Elrod.
Janette Cook Jacobs

Janette Cook Jacobs, 72, of Haleyville, passed away Saturday, Nov. 28, 2009 at Lakeland Community Hospital. She was born Sept. 16, 1937 in Quitman, Miss. She was a retired textile worker and a member of Oakwood Missionary Baptist Church in Phil Campbell.
Funeral services were held Dec. 1, 2009 at Pinkard Funeral Home in Haleyville with James Williams officiating. Burial was at New Hope Cemetery.
She is survived by her husband, Darnell Jacobs; sons, Terry Perkins and wife, Angelia, of Phil Campbell, Johnny Perkins and wife, Shelly, of Trinity, Ala., Greg Jacobs, of Big Spring, Texas; brother, Ronnie Cook and wife, Marilyn, of Quitman, Miss.; sisters, Ann Beard and husband, Johnny, of Dale Wood, Miss., Carol Dees and husband, Bruce, of Meridian, Miss., Barbara Ford and husband, Randy, of Meridian, Miss.; ten grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Rufus G. and Mary Lou Cook; sons, Russell Wayne Perkins, Mark Anthony Perkins; twin sister, Janice Stanwood.
