Award winning country music singer Marty Raybon will perform at the historic Roxy Theater in downtown Russellville on Saturday, Nov. 21.
The concert begins at 7 p.m.
Raybon's music career began at the age of eight when he first appeared on a local television show in Florida. He would go on to become the lead singer for the Muscle Shoals-based group Shenandoah, which produced several top hits on country charts.
Following a successful career with the group, Shenandoah disbanded in 1995.
Rarely is such a voice heard that is not only unforgettable, but also undeniable, as that of Raybon.
His voice is filled with emotion and compassion that not only comes from a melody or a great lyric, but from the heart, and as soon as you hear it you realize that God placed a special gift in Raybon's life.
He made such hits as "Mama Knows," "Ghost in this House," "Two Dozen Roses," and "The Church on Cumberland Road" with Shenandoah.
Raybon can take a lyric and put heartbreak into it like no other singer before him. Noted country music historian Robert Orman once said that Raybon's voice is "truly one of Nashville's greatest treasures."
After hearing some of his latest releases there will be no doubt that not only is Raybon one of the greatest singers, he is also a man of unwavering faith and extraordinary vision.
Tickets to the concert are available at the Franklin County Chamber of Commerce, Abstract and Appraisal and all area banks. Advance tickets are $12 each. Tickets at the door will be $15.
