Answering the obvious question

By Staff
Melissa Cason
This week, I have been trying to find new clothes.
I know last week I said I don't like to shop, and I stand by that statement. But, now shopping has become a necessity since I am expecting a new baby in January.
Yes, you heard me right.
For all of you who have not heard, I am pregnant with my third child.
I have noticed some of the expressions made when people see me lately.
People I come in contact with regularly aren't sure how to react. Their expressions wonder if I am just getting fat or am I expecting.
While no one has come out and asked me, I am beginning to get more and more of those 'unsure whether to say anything looks.'
So the answer to everyone's unspoken question is obviously yes. I am pregnant.
My expanding stomach is now inching its way out of my clothes. I had hoped I would not have to begin wearing maternity clothes until later in the fall, but it's safe to say those hopes have been dashed.
So, I have been scoping out cool maternity clothes I can wear while it's hot and when it gets cold.
First, I thought, 'I should just buy bigger clothes.' The problem with that idea is that the bigger clothes swallow me expect in my stomach. I spent the majority of my Saturday trying to find something to wear that isn't completely hideous. No luck so far.
I have also been surfing the web for cute maternity clothes. I've found some cute stuff, but they also have a hefty price tag attached. I had hoped to buy my baby things instead it looks like the first things I will buy him or her is new clothes to cover my ever-expanding stomach.
Jimmy, the boys, and I are very excited about our upcoming addition into our family, and can't wait to meet him or her.
But, for now, we are taking it day-by-day, and week-by-week. And, my first order of business as a mommy-to-be is to find some cute clothes that won't break the bank.
Wish me luck. I may need it.
