New nursery opens in city

Spring is here, and many people spend hours working on perfecting their yards.
Now, Russellville has a locally owned plant nursery and landscaping business to help with any landscaping project.
Co-owner Tange Oliver said Keoni Nursery, Landscaping and Irrigation opened on March 28, and the business has had a good start in Russellville.
"I have worked for Keoni Landscaping and Irrigation in Florence off and on for three years," Oliver said. "I was thinking one day that Russellville should have a locally owned nursery to help with yard projects."
Oliver pitched the idea to John Kolana and her two brothers, Nick and Craig Howard, and the new business was founded.
"We want to help people make their yards beautiful," Oliver said.
Keoni Nursery has a good selection of perennials, annuals, ferns, fruit trees, and shrubs.
"We don't have any big trees but we can order them if a customer needs to plant big trees," Oliver said.
Oliver said customer service is major priority for the small business.
"We don't want the customer to have to do anything," Oliver said. "We want to be able to help them pick out the perfect plants for them, and we help the customer get their plant purchase in their vehicle."
Keoni Nursery is open seven days per week and is open from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Saturdays and 12 to 5 p.m. on Sundays.
