City buildings almost complete

Two new city buildings are expected to be complete within the next 45 days.
Officials with the city of Russellville and the Russellville Fire Department expect to move soon as construction crews wrap up work on the new city hall and fire station.
Fire Chief Joe Mansell said his department is planning to move in at the end of April.
"All we like at the fire department is the sheetrock and paint," Mansell said. "We expect the sheetrock to come in next week so it's getting close."
The new fire station has been a work in progress for several years, and the new location will give the city better fire coverage.
"The fire departments are supposed to be located in key locations in the city for the maximum fire protection," Mansell said.
"We have the station on the north end of town on (U.S.) 43, and once we get the new station completed, we'll have a station on South Jackson Ave. as well."
The fire department is not the only city employees planning to move soon, however.
The new city hall is in its final stages of construction and Mayor Troy Oliver anticipates being in the new building by mid-May.
The new city hall will be located on Jackson Avenue across the street from the post office.
The city court system and police department will remain in the current city hall building.
