PHIL CAMPBELL – When East Lawrence leaves Phil Campbell tonight one team will be on the road to recovery while the other will continue a traumatic slide.
Phil Campbell finished last season with a record of 0-10. East Lawrence was 1-9 with the only win coming against another 1-9 team.
The Bobcats got off to a slow start against Haleyville in their jamboree game last week, but rallied from a late 14-0 deficit to win 15-14.
New coach Michael Parker has tried to make sure Phil Campbell is well conditioned so they will be able to compete late in games.
"That has been our biggest strength so far," Parker said.
He also said that he has noticed a complete change in attitude both on the team and in the community since he began in the spring.
A win tonight should help change the attitudes even more.
