Louise Ledbetter

Louise Ledbetter, 80, passed away Aug. 12, 2008 at the Care Center of Red Bay. She was born Aug. 21, 1927 in Fulton, Miss. to Bomer and Ethel Sparks Melton. She was a clerk at Fred King's Department Store for 29 years and was a member of First Baptist Church in Red Bay.
Visitation was Aug. 14 at Deaton Funeral Home and burial was in Red Bay City Cemetery.
She is survived by her husband of over 60 years, Gerstil Ledbetter of Red Bay; sons, Ronnie Ledbetter of Tuscumbia, Michael Ledbetter (Janet) of Highland, Ill. and Keith Ledbetter of Red Bay; brother, Coy Ray Livingston (Phylis) of Tupelo, Miss.; grandchildren, Timothy Ledbetter, Janna Ledbetter and Ashley Ledbetter and three great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her brother, L.C. Melton, and sister, Fay Dallison.
Deaton Funeral Home in Red Bay assisted the family.
Elmer W. Lee

Elmer W. Lee, 81, passed away Aug. 13, 2008 at the Care Center of Red Bay. He was born July 3, 1927 in Tremont, Miss. to Elmer and Willie Kennedy Lee. He was a professional painter and a World War II veteran of the U.S. Navy.
Services were held Aug. 15 at Deaton Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. David Kelley officiating. Burial was in Red Bay City Cemetery.
He is survived by his wife, Elouise Lee of Red Bay; daughters, Teresa Mills (Tad) of Red Bay and Vivian Lee of Tupelo, Miss.; sons, Gary Lee (Candace) of Coral Springs, Fla. and James Lee of Broken Arrow, Okla.; grandchildren, Tonia Mills Martin (Jeff) of Golden, Miss., Tim Mills of Red Bay, Ted Mills of Phil Campbell, Shelia Lee Stewart (Matt) of Sapulpa, Okla., Jake Lee (Elizabeth) of Greenhill and Candace Lee of Muscle Shoals; great-grandchildren, BreAnna Rackard, Ridge Martin, Rhett Martin, Madelene Stewart, Grace Emily Stewart, Emma Kate Lee, Jacob Alan Lee and Christopher Gage Lee; and cousin, Juanita Jones of Fulton, Miss.
He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Wildford Lee and Woodruff Lee; and sister, Sybil Lee Cayson.
Pallbearers were Gary Lee, James Lee, Jake Lee, Matt Stewart, Tim Mills and Ted Mills. Honorary pallbearers were Tyrone Thompson, Greg Lucas, Michael Card, Ray Bishop and Grover Cleveland Bates.
Deaton Funeral Home in Red Bay assisted the family.
