A Russellville couple have been charged with first-degree manufacturing a controlled substance after a joint investigation with the Franklin County Sheriff's Department lead to a methamphetamine lab in their motel room.
Russellville Police Chief Chris Hargett said Michael Davie Timms, 30, and Jessica Rena Timms, 23, both of 2095 Underwood Road in Russellville, were arrested Friday afternoon, and charged with first-degree manufacturing, and possession of controlled substance.
"Officers were investigating possible drug activity at the Budget Inn in Russellville," Hargett said. "After talking with the suspicious persons in the parking lot, officers discovered that one of them had an active warrant out on him."
Upon further investigation, investigators found numerous one-pot method meth labs in the room and in a garbage dumpster.
The officials with the Franklin County District Attorney's Office assisted the Russellville Police Department and the Franklin County Sheriff's Department.
The couple remains in custody pending a bond hearin
