Getting ready for school

In less than two weeks, school will start back, and while, I am looking forward to not shelling out dough on daycare for my kids, I have to wonder where the summer went.
When I was a kid, we would get three solid months out of school, and by the time it started back, we were almost bored to tears.
But, as with many things in this world, this is not the case anymore. Jordan, my oldest, isn't really ready to start school again.
He is old enough to know the real deal with school – that it's work, and there's a lot less free time to play.
But, my baby, Cameron, can't wait for school to start.
We are almost ready with only a few more things to buy.
We need to get Jordan a good, sturdy see-through backpack and Cameron his kindergarten writing notebooks.
Other than those things, I think we are all set.
While I am very excited for both of my kids to be in school, I am a little sad.
My boys are no longer babies.
I know I tell you. our readers, this a lot,, but I think I do because it's hard for me not to think of them as babies.
If I keep telling you, maybe my heart will listen too.
I hope that all the kids out there make the most out of the last few weeks of summer break, because the work will begin when the first bell rings on that first day.
