Mistakes are inevitable

In life, mistakes are inevitable.
We are going to make them no matter what.
There are little mistakes and, then, there are the big, catastrophic mistakes that can ruin lives.
Luckily, I have always been able to recover from my mistakes, and believe me; I have made a ton of them in my life.
I made mistakes while growing up.
I remember breaking curfew during the summer before my junior year. It wasn't just one time I broke curfew.
It happened about a dozen times before my parents set me up to get caught red-handed. Once they caught me coming in late one night, I was severely punished.
My sentence was home prison.
I literally could not leave my house for two weeks.
I could not even step foot on my front porch until the end of my punishment.
I definitely learned my lesson from my mistake there.
That is just one example of the mistakes I've made. I made tons more in my life from parental to personal mistakes.
I have to say the bigger mistakes I make, the more I learn, and learning is what life is all about.
I think that when we stop learning, we die.
When I make a mistake, I admit it to myself and to others that might be involved.
If it's at work, I admit it immediately, and do my best to fix it.
If I make a mistake at home, I apologize to anyone affected and move on. That's all we can really do.
Life cannot be relived. We only have one time to live through an experience, and if we mess it up, it's over. All we can do is accept it and move on.
For those who have made the catastrophic mistakes, you know the ones that ruin lives, I'd like to tell them to forgive themselves and get help if needed.
We can't begin to be forgiven until we forgive ourselves.
Nobody is perfect, so why are we trying so hard to pretend we are?
I think we find strength in our weaknesses, and that God will helps us through anything life can throw at us.
