Thanks to those who serve each day

We often take those for granted who protect us everyday.
There are men and women who we all know as friends, colleagues or just acquaintances.
We may pass them on the street or sit on the pew beside them in church and never know how brave they are.
First responders are police, firefighters, EMTs and others who rush off to the scene anytime they are needed, no matter what.
That's what happened Sunday when people from all walks of life dropped what they were doing and rushed to those in need at Piney Grove Missionary Baptist Church.
Much thanks should be given to those who serve and protect and made sure everyone was taken care of quickly.
A near disaster and near tragic situation was handled as best it could be by all accounts.
Let's not take these brave folks for granted.
It's easy to do at times, but these community members are so vital to our well-being and safety. Unfortunately it sometimes takes a terrible situation for us to realize it.
