Summer is sweet and you can make it even sweeter!
Cool summer desserts add so much to the dinner table and can add a taste of Southern flare.
Easy summer desserts prepared for someone you cherish delights the reciever and lets them know you care.
Cook-outs and picnics are so enjoyable for old and young alike.
These meals are quick and easy to prepare with the help of paper plates and cups. An ice cream freezer is a must and can be purchased at our local businesses.
Make your ice cream in your freezer at home and pack it in ice to transport to your favorite picnic spot or park.
Pour the melted water off and pack only ice in the freezer before you leave. Put some ice in a gallon zip lock bag and pack it on top of the freezer and add some towels or cloths on top of the ice to hold the ice close to the ice cream.
What a treat this is for an outdoor picnic.
If you are serving a summer meal at home you might enjoy making ice cream also or one of the other deserts listed on our recipe page this week.
If you are diabetic, a large bowl of mellon, grapes, and fruits cut to bite size and mixed together Make a wonderful sweet treat for the summer. Children enjoy a fruit bowl too.

Summer is the best time of the year for treats and there are few better ways to spend time with your family than out on the deck or in the yard eating a cold bowl of homemade ice cream.
