A Franklin County man was arrested in Colbert County Thursday evening after allegedly stabbing his wife and ex-daughter-in-law in Franklin County.
Franklin County Sheriff Larry Plott said Horace Wayne Borden, 62, of 2682 Highway 75 in Phil Campbell, stabbed his wife and ex-daughter-in-law after an altercation at his residence.
"Mr. Borden stabbed his wife on the back of the neck, and the other victim under the arm," Plott said. "Neither of the injuries were life threatening."
Plott said Borden left the residence after the altercation and was found by authorities in Colbert County after running into a cotton gin.
Borden is currently being held in Colbert County on DUI charges, and will be returned to Franklin County for second-degree domestic violence, and second-degree assault.
According to the Alabama Criminal Code, second-degree domestic violence is a Class B felony, which is punishable with two to 20 years upon conviction, and second-degree assault is a Class C felony, which carries a punishment of one year and one day to 10 years in prison upon conviction.
