Seton Carr

Seton Carr, 85, of Toledo, Ohio, went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, June 27, 2007. Seton was born June 24, 1922 in Moulton to Arthur D. and Julia (Hampton) Carr who have preceded him in death.
Seton was a decorated veteran who served in the United States Army during World War II. His country is forever grateful for the sacrifices he made. Seton's career interest lied in the automotive industry where he worked in various businesses until he retired as a machinist after 25 years from Dana Corporation. He was a member of the Local UAW #12. Seton was an avid sports enthusiast and a genuine Nascar fan.
Loving family members that survived Seton's passing are his children, Jeffery L. Carr, Jo Ann (Robert) Evick, and Ron Carr; grandchildren, Jody, Jeremy, Jim, Jamie, and Kerri; great-grandchildren, Zachary, Kali, Rylie and the much anticipated arrival of soon-to-be-born Keiley; siblings, Eugene and Alton Carr and Zelure Morgan; and dear friends, Ron, Dianne and Wiley Carroll. Seton was reunited with his loving wife of 48 years, Juanita, his parents, his sisters Lola and Geneva, his brother, Dee and his much loved daughter-in-law, Jeanne.
Funeral services were held Monday, July 2, 2007 at 2 p.m. at Akins Funeral Home. The burial took place in Shady Grove Cemetery in Phil Campbell. Akins Funeral Home directed the funeral. Those wishing to express their sympathy by way of a donation are asked to consider Donor's Choice.
Dellar Mae Bolton

Dellar Mae Bolton, 88, of Hickory Flat, Mississippi, passed away on Friday, June 29, 2007. She was a native of Marion County.
Funeral services were held Monday, July 2, 2007 at Pinkard Funeral Home Chapel in Russellville. Jerome Sherrill officiated. Interment followed in Hamilton Memory Gardens.
Survivors included two sons, Jerry Wayne Tucker and his wife Virgilina, of Longwood, Floridea, and James Mack Tucker and wife, Francis of Russellville; one daughter, Johnnie Cobb and husband Spurlin, of Hickory Flat, Mississippi; seven grandchildren; three great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
Pinkard Funeral Home assisted the family.
Stephen Keith Rice

Stephen Keith Rice, 57, of Russellville, passed away Saturday, June 30. He was a native of Texas, but had lived in Russellville for the past 35 years. He attended the Baptist Church. He was a self-employed mechanic, and the owner of Keith's Automotive in Russellville.
Funeral services were Tuesday, July 3, 2007 at Pinkard Funeral Home Chapel in Russellville.
He was survived by his wife, Nelda K Cooper, of Russellville; a step-son, Kyle Cooper of Auburn Georgia; two brothers, Bob Rice and wife Connie of Russellville, and Denny Rice and wife, Vickie of Los Alamos, New Mexico; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, Robert M. and Juanita Rice, and his sister, Patsy Wesley. Pinkard Funeral Home Russellville assisted the family.
Loyd Gravitt

Loyd Gravitt, 85, of Bear Creek, passed away June 29, 2007 at Russellville Hospital. He was a member of Bear Creek Baptist Church, and served in the Army/Air Force during World War II.
Funeral services were Sunday, July 1, 2007 at Pinkard Funeral Home in Haleyville. James Bishop and George Jones officiated. Interment followed at Bear Creek Cemetery.
He is survived by his wife, Ida Gravitt; a daughter Bonnie Lane Turner of Brookhaven, Mississippi; a son, Kenneth Loyd Gravitt of Bear Creek; a sister, Inez Elkins of Bear Creek; a brother, Franklin Gravitt of Bear Creek; two grandchildren, Yolanda Kennedy and Jennifer Wooten; and six great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Leon and Susie Gravitt; three sisters, Lillian Spann, Mildred McDonald and Louise Logan; and two brothers, Elliot Gravitt and Travis Gravitt.
Pinkard Funeral Home in Haleyville assisted the family.
DaWanda Lawrence Jones

DaWanda Lawrence Jones, 70, of Russellville, passed away Sunday, July 1, 2007.
She was a lifelong resident of Franklin County, and a member of New Hope Methodist Church.
Funeral services will be held today at 11 a.m. at the Union Hill Methodist Church in Phil Campbell. The body will lie in state at the church for one hour prior to the service.
Bro. Coy Morgan and Bro. James Anderton will officiate. Interment will follow in the adjoining cemetery.
She is survived by her husband, Milton Jones, of Russellville; three children, Ronda Hester and husband, Vance, of Phil Campbell, Judy Lawrence of Russellville, and Sherry Wells and husband, Larry, of Russellville; two stepchildren, Serena Skidmore and husband, Thomas, and Kathy Willis; two sisters, Jeanette Stein of Russellville, and Eva Crittenden and Vera Collum, both of Phil Campbell; eight grandchildren; five great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband Lake Hoover Lawrence; two sons, Steve Lawrence and Kent Lawrence; a daughter, Barbara Lawrence; her parents, Herman and Azzie Wynn; three brothers, Gertrude Wynn, Guin Wynn and Mitch Wynn; and two sisters, Juanita Williams and Jewel Hutcheson.
Pinkard Funeral Home in Russellville assisted the family.
Elizabeth Carrie Kinard

Elizabeth Carrie Kinard, 73, of Sheffield passed away Monday, July 2.
Funeral Services were held July 3 with Bro. Curtis Taylor officiating and burial followed in Oak Grove Cemetery.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Frank and Mae Kinard.
She is survived by her son, Billy Calvin Borden; daughters, Glenda Gail Moore and Marie E. Brawley; brother, Orbie Kinard; grandsons, Wade and Chris Carpenter; granddaughters, Savanah Borden and Ariana Galvez and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
