    Eula Mae Ewing, 65, of Zion, Illinois, died April 11, 2007 in Zion, Illinois.
    Visitation will be held April 17 from 1-2 p.m. at Deaton Funeral Home in Red Bay.
    The funeral service will be held following the visitation at 2 p.m. in the funeral home chapel.
    Burial will follow in Ridge Cemetery.
    She was born May 29, 1941 in Tishomingo, Mississippi. She was a member of First Baptist Church in Winthrop Harbor, Illinois and was preceded in death by her husband Lawrence Ray Ewing.
    Survivors include one son, Anthony Ewing (Denise); grandchildren Anthony and Brandon Ewing, all of Illinois; sister, Hildred Thorn (Ray) of Red Bay, and Shirley Malone, of Muscle Shoals, and several nieces and nephews.
    Deaton Funeral Home assisted the family.
    Randy Joe "Bug" Randolph
    April 12, 2007
    Randy Joe "Bug" Randolph, 36, of Hackleburg, died April 12, 2007 at his residence.
    Funeral services were held April 14 at Fairview Congregational Church in Hackleburg. Bro. Bobby Aderholt and Bro. Steve Lawrence officiated. Burial followed in Cedar Tree Cemetery.
    Survivors include his wife, Susan Randolph, of Hackleburg; children, Carson Victoria Randolph and Madeline Lee Randolph, both of Hackleburg; parents, Bob Randolph and Sandy Ray, of Hackleburg; brothers, Robert Randolph, Edward Randolph, and Shawn Randolph, all of Hackleburg; grandmothers, Carolyn Carroll and Shelley Cook; niece, Cass Randolph; nephews, Clint, Drake, Curtis, and Josie Randolph, and a host of relatives and friends.
    Pinkard Funeral Home assisted the family.
    Deetra Bearden
    April 14, 2007
    Deetra Bearden, 56, of Russellville, died April 14, 2007.
    Funeral services were held April 16 at Akins Funeral Home. Bros. Kelsey Weaver and Johnny Harvey officiated. Burial followed in Franklin Memory Gardens.
    Her parents John and Nadine English, and a brother Dennis English preceded her in death. She was a member of Jehovah's Witness in Russellville.
    She was survived by her husband of 37 years, Thomas Beardon, of Russellville; sons, Thomas Beardon Jr. and Dennis Bearden, of Russellville; brothers, John W. English and Sammy English, of Marreo, Louisiana; step-mother, Ester English; and grandchildren, Jacob Bearden and Kaleb Bearden, of Tuscumbia, and Gabriel Bearden, of Russellville.

    McKinley "Ken" Frost
    April 12, 2007
    McKinley "Ken" Frost, 78, of Haleyville, died April 12 at Princeton Baptist Hospital in Birmingham.
    Funeral services were held April 14 at Pinkard Funeral Home Chapel. Bros. Jake Yarbrough, James Garrison, and Rickey Grimes officiated. Burial followed at Frost Cemetery in Haleyville.
    He was born in Hardin County, Tennessee on October 1, 1928 to James Henry and Goldie Pearl Burns Frost.
    A daughter, Linda Sue Frost; a son, Kenneth Gene Frost; parents, James and Goldie Frost; and brothers, Olivet and Joe Frost, preceded him in death.
    Survivors include his wife, Margene Richey Frost; children, Debbie Frost, of Haleyville, Virginia Steele, of Double Springs, and Teresa Grimes, of Haleyville; brother, Arlen Frost, of Haleyville; and a sister, Goldie Pearl Flannigan, of Haleyville.

    William Ray "Pete" Mayhall
    April 12, 2007
    William Ray "Pete" Mayhall, 76, of Golden, Mississippi, died April 12, 2007 at his residence.
    Funeral services were held April 14 at Antioch Baptist Church. Bros. Bob O'Neil and Wayne Bumgart officiated. Burial followed at Butler Cemetery.
    He was born February 22,1931 in Itawamba County, Mississippi to Dewey and Nadean Mayhall. He was a farmer for 50 years and a member of Antioch Baptist Church.
    He was preceded in death by his parents, one sister, one brother, one grandson, and one granddaughter.
    Survivors include his wife of 54 years, Murley Mayhall, of Golden, Mississippi; three children, Elvie Ray Mayhall (Peggy), Martha Chestnut (Danny), and Linda Ewinf (Gene) all of Golden, Mississippi; one step-sister, Kathleen Cochran, of Winfield; brothers, Charles Mayhall, of Tremont, Mississippi, and Elvis Mayhall, of Dorsey, Mississippi; step-brother, Marvin Rogers, of Tremont, Mississippi; grandchildren, Vicky McCarley, Shawn James, William Mayhall, Sherman Chestnut, and Cherie Ewing; and seven great-grandchildren.
    Pallbearers were Keith Mayhall, Tommy Mayhall, Roy Cleveland, Bobby Cleveland, Ed Hammock, Johnny Beam, and Robert Beam.
    Deaton Funeral Home assisted the family.
    Betty Sue King
    April 12, 2007
    Betty Sue King, 65, of Russellville, died April 12, 2007 at Helen Keller Hospital.
    Funeral services were held April 14 at Pinkard Funeral Home in Russellville. Bro. Terrell Bragwell officiated. Burial followed in Franklin Memory Gardens.
    She was a Colbert County native and had lived in Russellville for the past several years and was a member of Siloam Baptist Church in Russellville.
    She was preceded in death by a son, Timothy Wayne Pounders; father, William Jackson Whitehead; mother, Beatrice Crowden; step-son, Morgan Lee "Butch" King; brothers, J.W. Whitehead, Jerry Crowden, and William Jackson Whitehead Jr.; sister, Charlotte Peters; and step-father, Howard Crowden.
    Survivors include her husband, Morgan King, of Russellville; step-daughter, Candy King Jones (Jeff) of Hixon, Tennessee; brothers, Buddy Whitehead (Shirley) of Sheffield, Jimmy Crowden (Judy) of Memphis, Tennessee, and Kenneth Crowden, of Sommerville; sister, Susie Acklin (Rusty) of Olive Branch, Mississippi; grandsons, Cassidy Lee King (Ashley), Daniel Lee King, and Lee Morgan Howard; granddaughter, Haylee Howard; great-grandsons, Cassius Morgan King, and Brice King; sister-in-law, Jayne Bragwell (Terrell); special friends, Travis and Regina Holt, and several nieces and nephews.
    Pallbearers were Jimmy Greenhill, Kale Bragwell, Trevor Bragwell, Travis Holt, Chris Peters, and Rusty Acklin. Honorary pallbearers were Bobby Woodruff, Basil Case, Danny Berryman, and Greg Lane.

    Mary Lou (Allen) King
    April 15, 2007
    Mary Lou (Allen) King, 82, of Russellville, died April 15, 2007 at Helen Keller Hospital.
    Funeral services will be held April 18 at 2:00 p.m. at Bethsaida Baptist Church following the visitation. Bro. Stanley Hargett will officiate. Burial will follow in the Bethsaida Baptist Church Cemetery.
    She was a devoted member of Bethsaida Baptist Church since the age of 17. She was a loving mother and grandmother and her family was her life.
    Her husband, Dewey James "Buddy" King; and her parents, Tom and Mary Quest Allen, preceded her in death.
    Survivors include a son, James William Kings, of Leighton; daughter, Mary Ann Ford (Charles) of Town Creek; sisters, Bertha Britnell, of Mt. Hope, Delmer Summers, of Russellville, and Ruby Allen, of Mobile; brother, Tommy Allen, of Mississippi; 4 grandchildren; 6 great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces and nephews.
    Pallbearers will be Tony Hill, James Allen, George Allen, Ronnie Allen, Thomas Wayne Murray, and Jimmy Summers.

    Herbert Louis Butler Sr.
    April 15, 2007
    Herbert Louis Butler Sr., 79, of Tuscaloosa died April 15, 2007 at the Hospice of West Alabama.
    Services will be April 18 at 11 a.m. at St. Mark's United Methodist Church with Rev. Sam Hardle, Rev. Michael Miller, and Rev. Larry Haggard will officiate. Burial will follow at 3 pm. at Flower Ridge United Methodist Church Cemetery in Loisville, Mississippi with Heritage Chapel Funeral Home directing. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the church.
    His parents, Earnest Louis Butler and Pernissi Maggard Butler preceded him in death.
    Survivors include his wife Esne Dickard Butler; daughters, Carol Roben Deltart (Charles) and Dinah Esne Rowe (James Paul); sons, Herbert L. Butler Jr. (Wanda), Foster Dickard (Connie), Thomas Dickard (Betty), and Woody Dickard (Ann Elizabeth); sisters. Kathleen Koonce and Nita Tindle; and brother, John Raymond Butler.
    He was born June 1, 1927 in Whynot, Mississippi to the late Earnest Louis and Pernissi Maggard Butler. He attended Mississippi State University and was a veteran of World War II with the merchant marines. He was a dental technician. He was a member of St. Mark's United Methodist Church.
    Pallbearers will be Herbert Blake Butler, Jeremiah White, Chuck Deltart, Robert Louis Dickard, Jason Dickard, and Mitch Busby.
    Honorary pallbearers are McCollum Sunday School Class, Hospice of West Alabama, and Northport DCH Medical Center.
    In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to Hospice of West Alabama or St. Mark's United Methodist Church.
    Willie Louise Pruett
    April 15, 2007
    Willie Louise Pruett, 83, of Russellville died April 15, 2007.
    Funeral services will be held April 18 at 11 a.m. at the chapel at Spry Memorial Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Franklin Memory Gardens.
    She was preceded in death by her husband, Elvis Pruett; parents Plas and Mandy James Hargett; 4 brothers; 2 sisters; and a son-in-law Edward Morgan..
    Survivors include her daughters, Shirley Morgan, and Connie Green (Mike); sons, Donnie Pruett (Laura), Melvin Pruett(Linda), all of Russellville; 12 grandchildren; 16 great grandchildren; 7 great-great grandchildren; and a host of nieces and nephews.
    She was a member of the Baptist church. She was a loving mother and grandmother and loved helping others. The family extends a special thanks to Aseracare Hospice and Dr. Lynn Ridgeway.

    Linda Hyde Steele, 63, of Phil Campbell, died April 16, 2007 at Shoals Hospital.
    Funeral services will be held April 18 at 11 a.m. at Pinkard Funeral Home Chapel. Bro. Sammy Taylor will officiate. Burial will follow at Mountain View Cemetery.
    She was preceded in death by her parents, Mr. and Mrs. John W. Hyde; a brother, Kenneth Hyde; and a sister, Patricia McDaniel. Survivors include her husband, Thurston Steele, of Phil Campbell, and several nieces and nephews.
    She was a lifelong resident of Franklin County and a member of Mountain View Baptist Church in Phil Campbell. She was retired from Shoals Technologies.
