A missing Russellville man has been indicted by the Franklin County Grand Jury.
Marvin Ardon, 23, 1437 Harrison Ave. in Russellville, was arrested in July 2006 for allegedly raping a 16-year-old female by force, Russellville Police Chief Chris Hargett said.
The rape occurred at the victim's residence, located at 415 E. Montgomery Street in Russellville.
Ardon has also been charged in Winston County with first-degree rape in connection with another incident with the same victim, Hargett said.
Ardon was released on a $75,000 bond in Franklin County, and a $100,000 bond in Winston County.
The indictment was handed down during the March grand jury proceedings in Franklin County.
Since his release from jail, Ardon has been reported as a missing person.
Russellville Police received a report from Ardon's wife that men dressed all in black came into their home in the middle of the night and took Ardon away at gunpoint. The report was filed on Nov. 12, 2006, Hargett said.
"Since his disappearance, we have received reports that Ardon is in the Los Angeles area running from charges here in Alabama, and that his alleged kidnapping was staged," Hargett said.
Hargett encourages anyone with any information about the whereabouts of Ardon to contact the police department immediately.
