Russellville golf defeats Red Bay

The RHS Golden Tiger golf team concluded the first week of the season with a strong finish in a home match last Thursday at Twin Pines Country Club.
The Russellville Black squad claimed victory over the Red Bay Orange team, and the Russellville Gold squad defeated the Red Bay Blue team.
The RHS Black team scored 159, Red Bay Orange shot 162, RHS Gold scored 206, and Red Bay Blue finished with 219.
Sophomore John Seal led the way for coach Phil Phillips' Black squad with a score of 38. Close behind were sophomore E.J. Fisher and freshman Bret Fish with a score of 40 and senior Will Burgess and sophomore Brian Brown with 41.
Allen Burgess, Aaron Fisher and Justin Rose were the leaders of the RHS Gold squad with scores of 51. Cody Bragwell and Derek Townley shot 53 and 56, respectively, to close out the scoring for the Gold squad.
