Services for Walterine Grace will be held Saturday at 2 p.m. at E.E. McDonald Community Chapel, with the Rev. Ray Baylor officiating. Burial will be in New Hope Blackwater Church Cemetery.
Mrs. Grace, 75, of Daleville, died Monday, Aug. 2, 2004, at Heartfelt Hospice.
Survivors include her children, Richard L. Grace, Willie J. Grace, Ruby N. Jones, Lou Ann Griffin and her husband Elea, Eloise Grace, and Linda Grace Jones and her husband Lester, all of Daleville, John Henry Grace and his wife Cathy of Toomsuba, James Otis Grace and his wife Catherine of Meridian and Deloise Grace of Russell; 34 grandchildren; 42 great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren; sisters, Virginia Brown of Bailey, Betty N. Williams and her husband Rev. Exzell of Meridian, Catherine Grace and her husband Connie Jr. of DeKalb, Alma B. Clark of Milwaukee, and Callie M. Mosley of Greenville; a brother, Joe Lee McCoy and his wife Otis Mae of Greenville; and aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her husband and five siblings.
Visitation will be Friday from 7 p.m.-8 p.m. at the funeral home.
Services for Michael Thomas Wilkinson will be held Saturday at Carmel Baptist Church in Meridian at 7 p.m. A funeral service was also held Wednesday at the Chapel of Collison's Howell Branch Funeral Home in Winter Park, Fla.
Mr. Wilkinson, 37, of Winter Park, died Monday, Aug. 2, 2004, in Winter Park. He worked in wholesales.
Survivors include his fiance, Yanzza Helin; a son, Celeb E. Wilkinson of Winter Park; his parents, J.T. and Beth Wilkinson of Winter Park, formerly of Meridian; brothers Leslie T. Wilkinson of Winter Park and Phillip S. Wilkinson of Naples, Fla.; a sister, Gina E. Smith of Ackworth, Ga.; maternal grandmother Elizabeth H. Gower of Winter Park; uncles, Tim Gower and Donald Gower; and aunts, Janell McMullen of Meridian and Sandra Vick of Bailey.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Thornell and Edna Wilkinson and Tommy Gower, all of Meridian, and his uncles Blake Wilkinson and Samuel Wilkinson.
Services for Bobby Gene Spooner were held Wednesday at 2 p.m. at James F. Webb Funeral Home Chapel, with Bros. Mike Boles and Gary Fayard officiating. Burial was in Biloxi National Cemetery.
Mr. Spooner, 69, of Meridian, died Saturday, July 31, 2004, at Jeff Anderson Regional Medical Center. He was employed with the U.S. government for 30 years. He served his country in the U.S. Air Force during the Korean War and continued in the Air Force as a jet aircraft mechanic and was the crew chief for the Hurricane Hunters in Biloxi.
Survivors include his wife, Virginia Spooner of Meridian; sons, Bobby Spooner Jr. and Roland Spooner, both of Gulfport, Benjamin Spooner of Odessa, Texas, and Keith Spooner of San Antonio, Texas; a daughter, Cynthia Thrash of Odessa; stepchildren, Sue Chandler and her husband Greg of Enterprise, Mary Johnson and her husband Danny of Henderson, Tenn., Barbara McNamara and her husband Tommy of Meridian, Joyce Malone and her husband Johnny of Meridian, and Judy Kraft and her husband Roger of Meridian; a brother, Warren Spooner and his wife Mildred of Waynesboro; sisters, Rita Olier and her husband Wildon of Biloxi, and Myra Spooner and Betty Mcfadden and her husband Patrick, all of Fairfield, Calif.; and several grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by Willie Lee, Willie Lee Jr., Joyce Spooner, Brent Spooner and Loretta Spooner.
UNION Arrangements were incomplete at Stephens Funeral Home for Bertha Plunkett, 91, of Duluth, Ga., who died Wednesday, Aug. 4, 2004, at Peachtree Christian Hospice in Duluth.
Arrangements were incomplete at Berry and Gardner Funeral Home for Ollice Don Robinson, 63, of Union City, Ga., who died Tuesday, Aug. 3, 2004, at V.A. Medical Center in Atlanta.
