Amy Lynn Radican and Christopher Edward Wald were married Saturday, May 29, 2004, at 2 p.m. at First Baptist Church in Meridian, with the Rev. Dr. Tim Willis, uncle of the bride, officiating. Tony Willis, uncle of the bride, assisted in the ceremony.
Parents of the couple are Rick and Tamara Radican of Meridian and Anna Bernadette Wright of Daleville.
The bride is the granddaughter of John and Maxine Willis of Sulphur Springs, Texas, and the late Ophelia Radican.
The bridegroom is the grandson of William B. Wright of Daleville and the late Anna Ruth Wright.
Given in marriage by her father, the bride wore an ivory organza gown with bell sleeves. The bodice featured a sweetheart neckline and lavender metallic embroidery. The skirt swept into a cathedral-length train. For her headpiece, she wore a veil anchored with a pearl and rhinestone tiara.
Catherine Wright of Hartwell, Ga., aunt of the bridegroom, served as matron of honor. Other attendants were Susan Raley of Meridian, sister of the bridegroom, and Vanesia Wilson of Ridgeland.
Joyceanna Raley of Meridian, niece of the bridegroom, served as flower girl.
Ben Hutcherson of Meridian served as best man. Groomsmen and ushers were Charles Wright of Hartwell, Ga., uncle of the bridegroom, Christopher Radican of Oxford, brother of the bride, and Austin Willis of Texas City, Texas, and David Willis of Clemson, S.C., cousins of the bride.
Joshua Wright of Hartwell, cousin of the bridegroom, served as ring bearer.
Candlelighters were Kimberly Wright and Anthony Wright of Hartwell, cousins of the bridegroom.
The bride's book was attended by Ashley Willis of Texas City, cousin of the bride.
A reception was held in the fellowship hall of the church following the ceremony. Assisting were Melinda Douthitt, Cathy Willis and Kim Wright.
On the eve of the wedding, a rehearsal dinner was hosted by the bridegroom's family at Caf Latte restaurant.
After a honeymoon in Biloxi, the couple resides in Clinton.
