Hopkins, Smith

Mike and Gwen Hopkins of Meridian announce the engagement of their daughter, Elesha Marie, to Eric Langford Smith, son of Peggy Chandler of Meridian and Mark Smith of Florida.
The wedding will be held Aug. 14, 2004, at 6:30 p.m. at Russell Baptist Church.
Ms. Hopkins is the granddaughter of Margene and Raymond Davis and Ollie and Louise Hopkins, all of Meridian.
The bride-elect is a 1998 graduate of Southeast Lauderdale High School and received a bachelor's of science degree in 2003 from Mississippi State University. She received a degree in science from East Central Community College in 2000.
Ms. Hopkins is employed by Anderson Pharmacy.
Mr. Smith is the grandson of Jack and Joann Chandler and Mary Smith, all of Meridian, and the late Donald Smith.
The bridegroom-elect is a 1999 graduate of West Lauderdale High School.
Mr. Smith is employed by the Mississippi Air National Guard.
A reception will be held in the church family life center following the ceremony.
