Today
10 a.m.: Patriotic Praise Parade, downtown Macon. Former Iraqi hostage Tommy Hamill is grand marshal.
7:30 p.m.: Fireworks at dusk in DeKalb on the baseball field at the intersection of Highways 16 and 39.
Sunday
3:30 p.m.: Bonita Lakes opens for July 4 celebration that includes an 8 p.m. performance by the Meridian Symphony Orchestra and a 9 p.m. fireworks show.
4 p.m.: July Fourth festivities, DeKalb Courthouse Square. Includes fly-over by Naval Air Station Meridian pilots. U.S. Rep. Chip Pickering, R-Miss., keynote speaker.
9:30 p.m.: Pearl River Resort in Choctaw hosts 20-minute fireworks display.
