The Enterprise Bulldogs have a date in Jackson on Saturday night.
Game 3 of the Class 2A baseball championship series is scheduled for 7 p.m. on Saturday at Smith-Wills Stadium in Jackson, the MHSAA announced on Wednesday. The contest between Enterprise and Mooreville will decide the state championship.
The decisive game became necessary after the Bulldogs and Troopers split the first two games of the championship series. Enterprise won Game 1 6-2 on Monday, and Mooreville bounced back Tuesday for an 11-1 win in Game 2.

Whitney expands lineup of stars
BILOXI When former Biloxi High coach Chuck Butler conceived the idea of the South Mississippi All-Star Classic, one of the main thrusts of the game was to give South Mississippi baseball players a chance for more exposure to college coaches. The other was to give fans a last chance to see the stars in action.
When the 16th annual Whitney Bank South Mississippi All-Star Classic was played Sunday, Butler's original concept was taken a step further.
Not only did seniors get a last chance at exposure in the nine-inning game, but underclassmen got an opportunity to show their skills when they took on the seniors in a seven-game inning game.
